Session 4b: July 8-12
Session 5b: July 22-26
Session 7b: August 5-9
Session 9b: August 19-23

A laid back beginner horse day camp for youth ages 4-7. This camp is for beginner and novice riders who are small but mighty. The program runs from 8:00 a.m. til 4:00 p.m.  On weeks that "Littles" are present, they will be in their own group with a counselor and junior counselor to escort them to activities.

Campers will not only learn about horses, but will also learn how horses think and how horses can teach the camper. Having fun and being safe while leading, saddling and riding a horse are a top priority. The day will include horseback riding along with other fun activities in the barn like horse chores, crafts, and bonding with fellow campers on ground work training.

Camp Cost: $300

  • Register before May 30, 2019 and save $20!
  • Drop your camper off by 8 a.m. all week for an additional $25, bring a breakfast snack.
  • Can't make it to camp by 3:00 p.m.? No problem Pick your camper up by 6:00 p.m. all week for an additional $25, snack included.
  • Multi-child and multi-camp discounts available ($25 off per child)
  • If parents or family members over age 18 are interested in staying for camp, we allow volunteer time to decrease cost of camp. Every day you sign up for takes $10 off that day of camp. However we do need to know ahead of time as volunteer slots fill up quickly, and you will need to attend 1 hr volunteer orientation June 3-5.

The week will end with a horse show for the parents. Campers will receive a picture of themselves with one of the horses they rode during camp, a T-shirt, and a certificate.

Notes:

  • We will allow a grace period of 15 minutes for drop off and pick up times. If drop-off or pick-up time exceeds 15 minutes, your account will be charged the early drop off or pickup fee of $25 for the week.
  • There are multiple levels of Beginner Horse Day Camp. Each level is designed to match your camper's current proficiency, and allow them to master certain skills before advancing to the next level. Upon completion of each level, campers will receive a certificate detailing the skills they have learned.

Camp registration deadline is two weeks prior to camp start date. Online registration for summer youth camps is preferred. A paper registration form is available if needed. An additional equine waiver is required for all horse camps.
